Run Saber was indeed the ultimate Strider clone. Since Strider never made an appearance on the Super Nintendo, Run Saber was made as a knock-off. The game never sold very well, but it did have most of the features that made Strider a classic. Run Saber did Strider one over by including a 2-player option. The game's two main characters (simply named Male Saber and Female Saber) posses all of the moves of a Strider, from saber-swinging to sliding attacks to grappling and climbing walls and ceilings.
